With 2019 already here, we want to share how the first year went for our Fraser Valley/Langley and Lower Mainland North franchises! They had an amazing first year growing into a thriving business; from learning how to launch their business, hiring the first round of team members, and learn to adapt to any situation at hand. To say the least, 2018 was a great year for them!
“Working with Harjot, Goran, and Nicolas throughout the last year has been a great learning experience. I’m very proud of their progress and am very exciting to help them grow in 2019!” ~ Scott Foran, Franchise Coach, 505-Junk
Fraser Valley/Langley
Our Fraser Valley and Langley Franchise had a groundbreaking year. Owner and operator Harjot Bains has done an amazing job keeping his clients happy. The 505-Junk call centre has been receiving calls weekly from clients in his territories regarding the amazing service that they received. When Harjot is not out in the field loading junk he can be found visiting job sites and building relationships with clients.

With the growing population in his territory, it’s only uphill from here. After a year of dialling in his sales techniques and getting comfortable with training employees, along with his passion for entrepreneurship and helping others, we see big things for the future for Harjot.
“Being a Franchise Owner at 505-Junk, I have learned so much about myself, things that I never thought I was capable of doing, and the opportunity to grow in not only work, but many different aspects of life. I almost feel like a completely different person, mentally and physically, than what I was year ago.” ~ Harjot Bains
Lower Mainland North
The Lower Mainland North franchise has had some major success, servicing over 450 residential and commercial clients since the start of the year. The father and son combination of Goran and Nic Trninic pride themselves on professional customer service and proper recycling protocols. After hiring their first truck team member halfway through the year, Nic transitioned into a sales role with coaching from Scott Foran (when he’s not doing pushups after losing to Scott in ping pong). It’s been exciting to see Nic take his knowledge from his past employers and apply them to this industry.

Nic and Goran are looking to have a big 2019, with many large businesses and residents moving out of Vancouver and into more affordable areas. They are specialising in residential and commercial clients, especially tenant improvement projects where businesses are upgrading older office spaces.
“There’s nothing better than waking up for work every morning and having the opportunity to surround yourself with a group of likeminded individuals who are all working towards a similar outcome. It makes things exciting. We have that “community feel” to our team culture, which is company-wide, and it carries over to how we service our clients. I have had the opportunity to go at this for over a year now and it’s amazing how much we’ve grown, individually and as a company. I’m beyond excited to see what the future holds.” ~ Nic Trninic
The future looks bright!
We couldn’t be more proud of how hungry these entrepreneurs are after their first year of business. Through all the ups and downs over their first year of business, they have built the character that will allow them to thrive in 2019 and beyond.
We can’t wait to continue on this journey with you!
