At 505-Junk, we pride ourselves on keeping reusable materials out of the landfill while helping our members of the community as much as possible. Our goal for 2023 is to keep thousands of pounds of clothing out of the landfill. To help us with that, we have partnered with the Salvation Army to collect reusable clothing from our clients.
Add Bagged Clothing to Your Pickup
When you schedule a regular junk removal pickup, you can now add an unlimited number of bagged reusable clothing to your load at no charge. This gives you a chance to regain your closet space and also saves you a trip to the thrift store… a win-win for everyone! 505-Junk Donation Truck
All of the clothing donated from our clients will be taken to the Salvation Army with our 505-Junk Donation Truck. At the Salvation Army, the clothing is sorted and washed for further distribution to Thrift Stores. If any clothing pieces are considered non-reusable by the Salvation Army Team, the item will be recycled as textiles and kept out of the landfill.

To launch our partnership, we recently hosted a clothing drive fundraiser at the South Delta Rec Centre. Hundreds of residents attended to donate clothing, which helped fundraise for our Movember campaign as well as fundraise for our flood relief victims in the Fraser Valley. In total, over $2,000 was fundraised to support mental health awareness and cancer research, and 4,635 pounds of clothing was donated.
