DSS Dry Grad Fundraiser

505-Junk Raises $4,000 for DSS Dry Grad Fundraiser

DSS DRY GRAD FUNDRAISER EVENT  –  On April 11th, 2021, the community of Delta got together to regain their space and while donating to the Delta Secondary School dry grad class of 2021. With the cancellation of the annual spring clean-up event in Delta this year, we wanted to provide an easy option for people to drop off their small to medium-sized items.

Christine Murphy, who was in charge of the event for the DSS fundraising committee, shared a few words:

“Thank you, thank you, thank you to Barry, Alex and Neal from 505-Junk! Such friendly, professional and generous young guys from an amazing local company who donated their time and their trucks – 6 of them! It was a wonderful fundraiser for the Delta Secondary School grads of 2021 that exceeded our expectations! And thank you to everyone who brought us their junk and their donations and to the volunteers who made it such a success! We couldn’t have done it without you!”

In total, we had a stretch goal to fundraise $4,000 for the Delta Secondary School Dry Grad class of 2021. We ended up raising $4,001.80 with 100% of the proceeds going to the fundraising committee. We hauled 6 full trucks of material and over 17,000 pounds of material while focusing on environmentally-friendly recycling and disposal with our local suppliers.

We want to thank everyone who dropped items off and donated, the volunteers for safely coordinating people on site, and our team members at 505-Junk for helping load the trucks and drop them off at the appropriate recycling depots. We hope you enjoy your newfound space!
