Illegal Dumping in Vancouver

505-Junk Featured in Illegal dumping story in Vancouver Province

This past week, we were fortunate enough to be featured in the August 6th cover story of The Province newspaper regarding illegal dumping in Vancouver!

The article, ironically titled “Million Dollar Dumps,” reports the spike in illegal dumping within our community, despite Vancouver’s competitive real estate and high standard of living. A vacant East Vancouver property has rapidly transformed into an unofficial dump, as witnessed by neighbours on a daily basis. Illegal dumping continues at the site while other communities are facing the same problem, exacerbated by the city’s increasing garbage disposal rates.

Our co-founder Barry Hartman commented on the nature and frequency of the concern towards improper disposal, as a number of our clients’ properties are burdened with illegal dumping. Locally founded, we here at 505-Junk make every effort to maintain our community which we call home: our junk removal service is not only fairly priced, but we recycle and donate whatever we can, whenever possible.
